The Business Development Representative will assist the MX Revenue Team in generating increasing volumes of high value, high close rate sales opportunities through various inbound and outbound prospecting strategies, primarily targeting Financial Institutions, Financial Services Providers, and Vendors in the financial services industry.
Job Duties
- Assist in raising awareness of MX solutions within our target market and the key stakeholders and decision makers at those companies.
- Aid in pre-qualifying sales leads obtained from various inbound and outbound channels.
- Support lead generation efforts through targeted campaigns and events.
- Assist in managing opportunities by updating CRM records and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain communication with potential clients to build relationships.
- Assist in account planning sessions, gathering necessary enablement materials and information.
- Support marketing teams on client-specific initiatives.
- Assist in gathering client materials to support partnerships.
- Learn to effectively communicate the value proposition of MX solutions.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of account development practices.
- Learn to align MX solutions with client needs, objectives, and strategic product initiatives
- Assist sales reps in coordinating client interactions throughout the sales cycle.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technology.
- Work towards meeting assigned quotas for lead generation and sales activities.
- Contribute to expanding the client base and market segment.
- Learn to track and report analytical data for clients and prospects.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for market expansion and networking.
- Work towards achieving sales and productivity goals.
- Participate in presenting sales information at both internal and client-facing meetings.
- Contribute feedback and ideas for marketing strategies in the financial services sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, preferred.
- 2 years of proven success in outbound SaaS sales, business development, and experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, HubSpot, etc).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a sales role.
Work Environment
At MX, we seek to hire candidates who drive results and achieve successful outcomes. We utilize a hybrid work arrangement style, which may require both local and remote team members to be in the office when necessary, to kick off projects, hold cross team strategy meetings, or complete key deliverables. Remote team members will travel into the office four times per year, and MX covers travel expenses associated with this requirement. Both local and remote employees can take advantage of our incredible office space with onsite perks, company-paid meals, onsite massage therapists, sports simulator, gym, mother’s lounge, and meditation room.
Compensation
The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $71,000 to $144,925. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
