Salary: $71.67 per hour

Overview:
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care ICU team. This position involves working the 12-hour night shift, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Write initial nursing histories, assess patient conditions, develop individual care plans, and evaluate outcomes of patient care according to accepted standards of practice.
• Document patient care from admission through discharge, incorporating the Nursing Process.
• Administer and document medications, with thorough knowledge of types, dosages, drug interactions, and incompatibilities.
• Practice safety measures in all activities associated with patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service and support the mission and vision of ARMC.
• Educate, delegate, and direct both professional and non-professional nursing staff; interpret the needs of each patient to the care team.
• Maintain current knowledge of new developments and therapeutic measures for total patient care.
• Participate in nursing policy and procedure development and Quality Assurance activities.
• Serve as a patient advocate and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Respond to emergency situations (e.g., Code Blue, Code Red) as needed.
• Float to other units as needed to assist with patient care.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 2 years of current ICU experience. Strong cardiac and neuro experience is essential.
• Licensing/Certification:
• Active California RN license.
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), MOAB, and NIH certifications required.
• Must obtain MAB certificate compliant with AB508 prior to starting.
• COVID Vaccination and booster encouraged (declinations accepted with bi-weekly testing at traveler/agency cost).
• Skills:
• Must be able to read Telemetry strips.
• Ability to float to Tele and Stepdown units.
• Trauma 1-level experience is preferred.
• Additional Requirements:
• Must have at least 1 year of straight FTE experience in an Acute Hospital/Medical Center.
• Travel experience is strongly encouraged.
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends.
• EPIC Experience

Submission Requirements:

• Work history going back at least 3 years (if applicable).
• Completed skills checklist.
• At least one supervisor reference included (a second reference will be required during onboarding).
• COVID Vaccination card with booster (if applicable).
• Certification Requirements: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), MOAB, NIH.

Important Notes:

• Per Diem: Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends is required; there is no weekly shift guarantee.
• Contract Duration: If a clinician does not pick up a shift in a 30-day timeframe, ARMC reserves the right to cancel their contract.
• Floating: RN may float to other units to assist with patient care as needed.
