Job Description

A loving and active family is seeking an active Full-time Nanny to care for their two children, ages 5 and 2. This role involves creating a fun, structured, and engaging environment while assisting with school pick-ups, activities, and daily routines. The nanny will play a key role in fostering creativity, learning, and outdoor play, with a special focus on swimming, as both children love the water. A long-term commitment is preferred, as the family hopes to build a lasting relationship with their nanny. Their 5 year old is in school full-time.

The ideal candidate is extroverted, engaging, and playful, with a natural ability to make learning fun. A strong swimmer is essential, as swimming is a big part of the children’s routine. A caring and nurturing approach, combined with a love for teaching and creativity, will be a great fit for this role.

Duties:

• Plan and engage the children in age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor play.
• Encourage learning and development through interactive play and hands-on activities.
• Foster a loving and secure environment while promoting confidence and independence.
• Prepare meals for the children, including helping pack lunches for the next day.
• Supervise and swim with the children in the family’s pool.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, tidying up after activities and meals.
• Provide transportation for school pick-ups, activities, and outings. (Vehicle provided)
• Assist with occasional grocery shopping and running errands as needed.

Pay Rate

$28-33/hr. on payroll, plus paid time off and holidays

Candidates with over 5 years of nanny experience are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday 8am-5:30pm
• Friday 8am-2pm
• Must be flexible to start earlier or stay later if the family needs.
• Occasional Friday and Saturday nights for date nights, preferred but not required.
• 40-45 hours per week

April 8, 2025 or as soon as possible

Kensington Nanny Agency Requirements

• Must have 3 or more years of recent, verifiable professional private home experience
• Understanding of professional boundaries, modesty and dressing appropriately
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Have a reliable car
• Excellent driving record
• Be drug-free
• Able to swim
• Have a stable work history
• Speak excellent English – must read & write
• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Have no criminal record
• Be CPR & First Aid Certified (prior to beginning work in the home)
