The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the dealership, including showrooms, service bays, customer areas, restrooms, offices, and outdoor spaces. This role ensures that the dealership is always presentable, clean, and welcoming to customers and staff, supporting a positive atmosphere for business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the showroom, office spaces, restrooms, service areas, and employee break rooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, carpets, and rugs.
- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, including desks, counters, and equipment.
- Clean windows, doors, and mirrors throughout the dealership.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly, ensuring recyclables are separated.
- Replenish restroom supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels) and monitor stock levels.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, reporting broken fixtures or equipment.
- Maintain the exterior of the dealership, including sweeping parking lots, cleaning windows, and removing debris.
- Ensure the dealership's entrance and surrounding grounds are free of trash and debris to maintain curb appeal.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Assist with setting up for special events or promotional activities held at the dealership.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with staff and report issues.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A valid driver’s license may be required to transport cleaning supplies or assist with dealership maintenance tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and push heavy equipment like vacuum cleaners.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.
