Head of Finance
We’re hiring a Head of Finance to lead and optimize our financial operations with a focus on strategic planning, scalability, and long-term growth. In this role, you’ll take ownership of building financial systems and structures to support the company’s expansion while ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Owner/Brand Director, the Head of Finance will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and marketing, to align financial planning with company goals.
As the right hand of the Brand Director, this person will play a critical role in shaping the company’s future by forecasting various scenarios, creating assumptions, and approving budgets that align with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Oversight
- Develop and implement financial systems and structures that support scalability and organizational efficiency.
- Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide strategic decision-making.
- Create financial reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to the Owner/Brand Director and leadership team.
- Forecast multiple scenarios and develop financial assumptions to guide the company’s strategic planning.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Monitor key financial metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Lead scenario planning and risk analysis to prepare the company for market changes and challenges.
- Approve budgets across departments, ensuring alignment with financial goals and scalability.
Collaboration with Operations and Marketing
- Partner with the operations team to align financial planning with inventory, logistics, and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to assess return on investment (ROI) for campaigns and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Support cross-departmental goals by providing financial insights and guidance.
Scalability and Process Improvement
- Build processes to streamline financial operations and reporting, reducing inefficiencies and errors.
- Implement financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
Experience
- 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within ecommerce, retail, or related industries.
- Proven track record of building scalable financial systems and managing teams.
Skills
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel modeling.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
