Senior Accountant – Full-Cycle (Small Business Focus)
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a Dallas-based CPA firm specializing in serving small businesses. This role is ideal for a proactive accounting professional who enjoys working closely with clients to support their financial success and is eager to expand their expertise into tax work.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting – Oversee and manage the entire accounting process for small business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting – Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Tax Preparation & Compliance – Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, provide tax planning advice, and assist with multi-state personal income tax filings.
Internal Controls – Advise clients on best practices to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
Financial Research & Advisory – Conduct research on entity structure planning, support acquisitions and divestitures, and respond to tax inquiries.
What We’re Looking For
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience – 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably with small businesses or in a firm serving small business clients.
Technical Skills – Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
Soft Skills – Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial clients.
Integrity & Confidentiality – High ethical standards and commitment to client privacy.
CPA Certification – Not required but a plus.
