Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Support pet owners with customer service inquiries and provide information about services offered.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills in animal handling and care.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Veterinary assistant or technician experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in dog handling and animal restraint techniques.
- Background in animal care, pet sitting, or grooming is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices and procedures is beneficial.
