If you apply for this job we prefer people to stay long term. We value our employees and the relationships we build together with both our 4 legged and 2 legged clients. We also value a positive, can-do attitude and are willing to train the right people in group play canine behavior.
Responsibilities
Good communication skills and a positive attitude are the keys to success in this position. You must be able to work in a team environment to safely care for our dogs in a group setting. Our dogs need constant supervision and care. Your brain must be able to multi-task in a chaotic environment. You will be expected to learn each dog's name, their personalities and behaviors, and what works best for each one (for example, discipline, calming them down, etc.). Although it can be an intense environment, if you have a genuine compassion for dogs this can also be a very rewarding experience. You will come to know and love our dogs and they will learn to trust you, depend on you, and love you right back.
Other responsibilities include taking notes about the dogs, cleaning, laundry, walking dogs on leash, bathing dogs, carrying or moving large bags of dog food, as well as various other items associated with the care of the dogs. This position will mainly be working in the back with the dogs, but all of our staff should be able to interact in a positive way with our human clients.
