What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at MYCON General Contractors Inc?
The Project Coordinator will provide assistance to the project staff, project manager, project engineer, and Superintendents in order to implement the necessary flow of project activities in an orderly manner to ensure flawless execution of the project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and information on assigned projects.
- Prepare on-site facilities and organization (mobilization/demobilization): filing system, regulatory documents, signage, temporary power, trailers, utilities, dumpsters, portable toilets, and on-site office documents.
- Generate, process, track, submit, distribute, and log contract work orders, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Formatting project changes into project change events into executed owner change orders, and subsequently into subcontractor change orders
- Coordinate and maintain required subcontract exhibits
- Follow up communication for subcontractors
- Timely input of all project data to support project manager’s monthly job cost reporting
- Assist project manager with monthly pay applications, MYCON lien waivers, and distribute them to owners. Upload pay app documents, and prepare quarterly reports as needed.
- Work with project engineer to gather and distribute close-out documents pertaining to assigned projects and archive the MYCON files as needed
- Familiar with I-9/immigration compliance and coordinate the badge system and I-9 processing per job requirements.
- Performs other position-appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Liaison between project team
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team.
- Monitor subcontractor insurance and associated renewals
- Input project information into Procore
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail required
- The ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously in an accurate and timely manner.
- Considerable skills in problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Familiar with construction methods and processes.
- Strong customer service skills needed to build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Spectrum, Procore, and Bluebeam knowledge preferred. Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Agile in learning new software and systems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; dexterity and flexibility are required for physical tasks.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a periodic basis and be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a periodic basis.
- The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day.
