Direct Support Professional (Skilled Care)

Our organization seeks qualified candidates for Direct Support Professional positions, providing hiring levels of care. The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for providing direct support and assistance to adults with disabilities. This position involves individualized support, which may include personal care, functional skills training, and assisting with behavior management.

Skilled Care DSP Starting Pay: $17.68*

To be considered for this Skilled Care DSP position you must also be willing to learn and provide all of the supports and cares listed below.

Description of Responsibilities

· Assisting individuals (male and female) with personal and oral hygiene including; bathing & showering, incontinence cares, personal grooming, teeth brushing, applying deodorant, utilizing suctioning, dressing and undressing, stoma cares, etc.

· Assisting individuals with getting in and out of bed utilizing transfers, 2-person transfers, over head lifts, and manual lifts.

· Performing basic movement exercises including physical therapy and Range of Motion routines.

· Preparing and serving meals and assisting individuals with eating

· Monitoring and documenting food, water, and medication intake

· Monitoring and reporting any behavior, health, or vital statistic changes

· Assisting individuals with mobility including; pushing wheelchairs, assistance with power wheelchairs, assistance with walking utilizing a walker, utilizing gait belts for walking assistance, transfers to and form sitting to standing positions, etc.

· Ability to provide supports and services to multiple individuals at one time.
