PAINT / BODY TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

We are searching for a skilled auto body technician to add to our team. Your primary job in this role will be to complete assigned repair orders in timely manner, efficiently and properly to ensure customer satisfaction. We are a diverse and unique dealership that offers a wide range of product lines, the willingness to work on an assortment of different products is a MUST.

Products Serviced & Sold: School Buses, Commercial Buses, Ambulances, Flat Beds, Service/Utility Beds, Dump Beds, Bed Liners, Custom Fabrication

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs on customer vehicles.
• Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals, and experience.
• Help keep service shop clean and organized.
• Sand and Prep repaired areas for paint.
• Paint customer owned vehicles to meet a professional standard.
• Must provide base set of tools and tool box.
• Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials.
• Prep and Install Spray in Bed Liners
• Repair Damage to Fiberglass Panels

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Prep & Paint Basecoat Clear Coat as well as single stage paints
• Weld Mild Steel (Preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year related experience
• Willing to train the right candidate for position

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
• Exposed to all weather elements at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
