At Myers and Sons Construction, we are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the execution of our North County Corridor Project. This project involves the construction of multiple structures, including bridges and a box culvert, as part of Phase 1.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civil construction projects in California, with a strong understanding of Caltrans bridge specifications. They will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the project documents, leading a project team, and tracking costs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work on site to solve problems that occur during construction
- Manage costs reports within Vista
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the contract with the Owner
- Monitor and report project schedule and cost progress
- Field work: Assist engineers and superintendents with work plans
- Review and approve project invoices and subcontractor payables
- Document control such as change and claim management
- Subcontractor management and development of subcontracts
- Material procurement including purchase orders
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred
- 10-15 years or more of experience in highway civil or structures construction projects in California
- Excellent organizational, team management, problem-solving, and motivational skills
- Caltrans bridge experience preferred
