The MyFitnessPal team is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager responsible for driving user conversion from trial to Premium subscription. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on individual to develop and implement lifecycle campaigns that engage trial users and drive them toward becoming paid subscribers. As a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will build and execute multi-channel campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other CRM channels to enhance user experience and increase Premium conversions. You will play a key role in optimizing the trial experience, testing and iterating on messaging, and leveraging data to inform strategies. This role is ideal for a data-driven marketer passionate about user engagement and subscription growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Creative, Engineering, Analytics, Brand, Product Marketing, and Content, to develop and execute high-impact campaigns.
This role is This contract will be valid through May 5th - August 18th, and will pay $50.00/hour.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute a multi-channel onboarding and engagement strategy focused on converting trial users into Premium subscribers.
- Manage and optimize marketing automation workflows to ensure timely and relevant communications with trial users.
- Analyze customer data to identify trends, segmentation opportunities, and areas for improvement in the trial-to-subscription journey.
- Develop and run A/B and multivariate tests to optimize messaging, timing, and channel effectiveness for trial conversions.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as conversion rates, engagement rates, and churn, and use insights to drive iterative improvements.
- Collaborate with Creative, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Brand, Product Marketing, and Content teams to align lifecycle marketing efforts with business goals and product enhancements.
- Report on campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve trial conversion rates.
Qualifications to be successful in this role:
- 3-5 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or email marketing, with a focus on user engagement and conversion.
- Experience in mobile app lifecycle marketing, preferably within a subscription-based business model.
- Hands-on experience with CRM/marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce, Klayvio). Experience with Braze is required.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using reporting platforms such as Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, and Google Analytics.
- Experience developing and executing segmentation and personalization strategies to drive user behavior.
- Technical understanding of email and push notification marketing, including webhooks, APIs, liquid logic, and automation workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally to execute campaigns effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- A/B testing experience and knowledge of experimentation methodologies.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while aligning with broader marketing and business goals.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for troubleshooting email templates is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a focus on results.
