We are seeking a strategic and innovative Vice President of Growth Marketing to drive end-to-end growth initiatives,maximizing the reach and impact of MyFitnessPal’s platform.
As the Vice President of Growth Marketing, you will lead the strategy for performance and lifecycle marketing, creating a cohesive and data-driven approach to grow MyFitnessPal’s user base, increase engagement, and drive long-term retention and revenue. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll oversee acquisition and retention strategies, build a best-in-class team, and shape a marketing roadmap that resonates with diverse audiences across all stages of the customer journey. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in positioning MyFitnessPal as the premier destination for health and wellness support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop a Unified Growth Strategy: Craft and execute a holistic growth marketing strategy encompassing both performance and lifecycle marketing to drive customer acquisition, deepen engagement, and increase user retention
- Drive High-impact Performance Marketing Strategies: Oversee paid media, search, social, and in-app marketing efforts, continuously optimizing campaigns to ensure efficient user acquisition and maximizing return on investment
- Visionary Leadership: Shape and innovate MyFitnessPal’s long-term growth strategy by identifying emerging trends and transforming them into actionable initiatives
- Set a Learning Agenda: Leverage data and analytics to create a learning framework that informs campaign effectiveness, identifies key trends, and prioritizes impactful marketing opportunities across the user lifecycle
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Happiness to ensure growth initiatives are integrated and aligned with product improvements and user needs, enhancing the overall customer experience
- Harness Technology for Personalization: Champion the integration of AI and machine learning into growth marketing strategies to deliver tailored messaging and experiences at scale, optimizing the relevance of every touchpoint
- Champion Cross-Functional Relationships: Foster strong partnerships with internal teams, including Business Intelligence, Product, and Customer Happiness, to align growth strategies with broader business goals, ensuring a unified approach to user acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Oversee Budget Allocation and Innovation: Manage and allocate budgets for growth marketing experiments, fostering an innovation-first mindset that encourages the exploration of new marketing technologies, channels, and strategies
- Develop and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Lead and develop a talented marketing team, establishing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making
What you should have:
- 15 years of experience in growth marketing, with a proven track record across both performance marketing in a digital-first environment, ideally within health, wellness, or tech sectors
- Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable growth strategies that drive measurable user engagement and revenue
- Expertise in digital marketing channels and lifecycle strategies, including experience with performance media, CRM, SEO, and personalized user engagement
- Proficiency in analytics and marketing technology platforms such as Amplitude, Tableau, Braze, and automation tools, with experience leveraging these tools to optimize campaigns and improve user experiences
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building, developing, and mentoring cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, skilled at articulating growth strategies, results, and insights to executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Results-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot strategies based on real-time insights and market dynamics

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $200,000 - $260,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
