About The Role

Role Purpose

Developing effective solutions that are in line with the organizations vision. Continuously improving the software engineer practices, processes and services. Participating in strategic planning discussion with technical business and client stakeholders. Actively participating in product design and development sessions. Mentoring developers and managers in the team. Developing efficient and easy to follow technical diagrams/documents, developing high quality solutions. Owning delivery of projects from inception to project completion and hypercare. Works directly with multiple partners and business stakeholders identifying the Minimum Viable Product. While in Delivery keeps a constant focus on program success and risk mitigation anticipating problems before they become blockers. Negotiates requirements/solutions and trade offs with all teams ensuring overall program success cross functionally across internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design for and lead implementation of projects
• In conjunction with a Delivery Manager and Project Manager, own the overall delivery of projects
• Responsible for technical design and deliverables for projects
• Interact with cross functional IT teams to coordinate delivery and deployment of solutions
• Present technical solutions to both business and IT teams
• Provide technical leadership for project teams
• Leads development of mentorship and training programs for company technical staff
• Sets company-wide technical standards and actively participates in technical practice domains
• Strong knowledge and expertise regarding Magento (Adobe Commerce) Platform
  
  

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• 12 years’ experience as a technical developer or related work experience; 6 years in technical leadership roles, leading projects or development teams, application architecture, enterprise architecture, systems integration and development; experience in a project-based consulting environment
• Deep knowledge of critical (common) commerce ecosystem components and how to integrate these components
• Broad technical skills with deep expertise in more than one area (scalability/load balancing, security, performance)
• Deep understanding of system administration, software and hardware/cloud configuration, release management strategies
• Deep knowledge designing solutions on Magento (Adobe Commerce)
• Solid understanding of databases and experience with database tuning
• Experience with ecommerce packages and delivering ecommerce projects strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with source code management strategies and release management
• Interest in collaborating across the company to share knowledge
