Do you have a passion for sales and science? Join our Inside Sales team, where you'll play an essential role in helping scientific labs stay equipped and operational by providing tailored service contracts for innovative instruments. At the intersection of science and sales, this role offers the opportunity to use your skills, grow your career, and make a difference in the scientific community!

Location:

Were are building a brand-new team for this business with 4 inside sales rep openings. All are committed to working ONSITE in our Carlsbad campus. No hybrid, or remote work available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with customers over the phone to understand instrument usage and contract coverage needs.
  • Partner with Field Service Engineers to improve customer experience on instrument issue resolutions.
  • Drive sales performance through effective pipeline management and opportunity tracking in custom CPQ tools.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Accurately record and maintain all customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates in CRM and CPQ tools to ensure seamless tracking and reporting.
  • Achieve or exceed defined critical metrics, including revenue targets, conversion rates, and activity benchmarks.
  • Support the sales quoting process and participate in contract discussions as needed.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure timely and accurate closing of sales.
  • Identify upselling opportunities, manage contract renewals, and contribute to overall revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 1 years of sales experience, preference as an inside sales rep
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-first approach.
  • Proven success in phone-based sales and a strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (experience with CPQ tools and phone systems such as Genesys is highly desirable).
  • A basic understanding of scientific laboratories and equipment ideal, but we will provide training to ensure expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Goal-oriented demeanor with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive demeanor toward addressing customer needs.

Additional Skills/Attributes

Experience working with key performance indicators and sales metrics to measure success is essential, along with familiarity with sales processes and tools, such as the Microsoft Office Suite and other business software. Additionally, technical proficiency and the ability to quickly learn complex product information are highly valued.

Compensation And Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $20.00–$27.00.
