Job Description

The Platform Delivery Lead will lead delivery and operations for our ATC facing Cell and Gene Therapy Chain of Identity / Chain of Custody portal across all functions and regions, with a focus on the commercialization of our pipeline therapy for Type 1 Diabetes. They will be responsible for the coordination and execution of several delivery teams, ensuring GxP standards are met, operational practices are documented, and delivery continuously improves as the platform and business scales.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead ATC Portal platform delivery for the Type 1 Diabetes therapy launch
• Ensure that teams have the tools and processes needed to improve the efficiency, reliability, and speed of deployments
• Coordinate scrum activities across platform delivery workstreams and other platform teams (e.g. Patient CRM, Field CRM, Analytics)
• Facilitate release management and production release schedule in coordination with cross-functional partners and other platform teams
• Lead platform communications (e.g. status reporting, downtime, releases) to all stakeholder groups
• Serve as Operations SME for enhancements, software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects, providing product and GxP expertise
• Responsible for risk and mitigation management to ensure high quality, on-time delivery
• Build relationships within DTE (Data, Technology and Engineering), Commercial, Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, and vendor partners
• Proactively champion, educate, and enhance delivery practices to introduce process efficiencies
• Define, manage and optimize DevOps framework / delivery operating model
• Partner closely with DTE and business leaders to align platform projects and roadmap with business goals
• Manage development capacity across teams
• Provide input into budget/forecasting estimates and resource allocation
• Coach and lead Vertex colleagues and onshore/offshore managed service providers

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or other related technology degree, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software implementation, program management, and business analysis
• 3 years of experience in Commercial Life Sciences
• Track record of demonstrating the Vertex core values
• Experience with stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and directing platform teams
• Some experience in four architecture specialization areas (business, information, infrastructure, software)
• Experience working within and leading in an AGILE team framework, across multiple business units and functions
• Nice to have: Agile/DevOps/ITIL certification
• Nice to have: Cell and Gene Therapy technology experience
  
  

Pay Range

$138,400 - $207,500

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
