CONTENT SPECIALIST

A Content Specialist on the San Diego Studio Live Team researches, creates, tests and launches MLB The Show video game content for fans to play.

In this role, you will immerse yourself in baseball history, and together, we will turn the biggest moments of the Major League Baseball season into engaging live service updates.

To succeed, your creativity, your communication skills and your ability to deliver finished projects on deadline will be key.

Responsibilities :

• Generate ideas within design strategies, create content to play, perform testing and launch it under tight deadlines with the Live Team
• Use studio software and database tools to build game content for multiple platforms
• Leverage Research and Analytics to supercharge actionable insights for future content
• Share best practices from your previous experience in live services games
• Research baseball players and history to accurately update item inventories and rosters
• Source images needed for live content projects
• Monitor social media platforms and forums for feedback from MLB The Show fans

Requirements :

• 2 years experience creating video game content on a Live Ops team or equivalent live services product
• Passion for the sport of baseball and a willingness to live and breathe it with us
• Experience working with integrated game design, UI / UX, analytics, production and marketing teams
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a track record of delivering on-time game updates
• Understanding the important elements that create an engaging video game experience
• Knowledge of competitive products and various gameplay genres
• Creative thinker and the ability to convey abstract concepts
• Strong writing skills (English) and attention to detail
• Experience playing MLB The Show’s Diamond Dynasty mode
• Preferred experience with agile development processes
• Preferred experience communicating game features through blogs, social posts and broadcast mediums

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
