Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coordination of accounting activities, preparing monthly financial statements that adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Oversee accounting department staff and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of accounting and office staff, maintaining an organizational structure to achieve department goals.
- Assist with month-end close, reviewing company financial statements.
- Participate in annual budget process.
- Oversee daily operations of finance and general accounting activities.
- Monitor cash availability, invoicing, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, production reporting, inventory control, reconciliation, sales tax processing.
- Evaluate internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with IT, ERP, Process Controls, Communications, and other system management.
- Develop risk management strategies and maintain accurate standard costs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management, CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in accounting departments.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with auditing.
- ERP, MRP, and standard cost concepts and systems.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proven planning, development, direction, and organization of Accounting and IT functions.
Physical Requirements
- Maintain regular attendance and safely perform job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal and local standards.
- Moderate physical activity, fine motor skills, and PPE usage.
