What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Operations Specialist position at Myron?
The Myron team is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Develop and implement effective financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end general ledger closing.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the NetSuite OneWorld system, maintaining a high level of precision and compliance.
- Journal Entries and Accounts Analysis: Create and automate journal entries in NetSuite, guaranteeing accurate monthly financial statements, account analysis, and department-level reports for global entities.
- Discrepancy Investigation and Resolution: Review department and financial statements, investigate discrepancies, and submit findings to the Controller for review, making necessary adjustments, accruals, and corrections.
- Audit Support: Act as the finance lead for year-end audits and bank file review processes, providing necessary assistance and supporting schedules for tax filings and year-end audits.
- Sales Tax Compliance: Manage the relationship with Avalara for sales tax compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience with Oracle ERP/NetSuite.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of general accounting and financial practices, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks with accuracy.
