Position Description
Work outdoors at Pelicans Ballpark. Greet and transport fans that request a wheelchair to and from their seats. Help enforce general policing of seating bowl/walking concourse for disruptive behavior. Exit greeting/exit sampling as requested.
Job Duties
Before Gates Open:
- Attend the Usher and Ticket Taker game day meeting to learn about specific events happening at the ballpark.
- Read the game day notes provided by the Front Office Staff.
- Report to your assignment immediately following the game day meeting.
- Inspect your area for standing water and notify the cleaning crew immediately if water needs to be removed.
After Gates Open:
- Acknowledge fans as they enter the gates/approach your area and greet them with a smile.
- Transport fans that have requested wheelchair assistance to their seats. Assist fans in finding their seating location.
During the Game:
- Remain on-call for any wheelchair needs throughout the game
- Report suspicious activity to a supervisor.
- Assist other departments as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
