Responsibilities
- This person will test and learn our unique product daily to be sure they understand the use of all features and are knowledgeable to catch bugs or issues that might be occurring both during development and post release.
- As this person walks through and tests features in sandbox environments they will need to draft and release detailed manual scripts of all the buttons they press and the expected behavior of the application once the button has been clicked.
- They are responsible to complete all manual test scripts that have not been automated to ensure we maintain at least a 90% test coverage of the system.
- Once proficient in manual testing this individual will also manage issues that arise through our Service Desk and evaluate if new manual tests need to be developed.
Performance Requirements
- Great performance in this role will be measured by the amount of manual scripts written in a sprint (2 week time frame). We will be looking for 3-4 manual scripts to be written in this time frame as well as a proactive nature to learn the product in their first few weeks.
- After two weeks in this role the individual will begin to take on bug bash testing on their own and manage others during the manual testing process.
Qualifications
- Highly detailed individual dedicated to find the issues in application to ensure best customer experience.
- Descriptive writing detailing all the expected behavior for a QA Automation Engineer to understand the flow of the script.
- Highly communicative to detail to the team current work and the flow of written scripts.
- Previous experience in a detailed role at another company or through a course at undergraduate degree level.
- Collaborative individual that will proactively reach out to team mates if they are stuck or run in to any issues.
- Dedicated in getting all their tasks done in a timely manner and looking for more work to be done.
