Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Present menus, provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings, and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using point-of-sale systems, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service area.
- Buss tables efficiently after guests depart to prepare for the next seating.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as necessary.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction while increasing sales.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices, including food preparation techniques and menu offerings.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and building rapport with customers.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
