MZ Wallace is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager who will play an integral role in the growth of the accounting department and the overall development of the company. You will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in various tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounts reconciliations, as well as managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the data entry of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable into accounting software and/or Microsoft Excel and ensure that the invoices are recorded on a daily basis.
- Communicate with vendors for copies of invoices or discrepancies as needed
- Maintain accounts receivable and respond to billing and collection inquiries
- Communication with customers regarding payments and discrepancies
- Perform daily bank deposits and variance adjustments accurately
- Prepare weekly AR analyses and reconcile accounts receivable
- Reconcile checks, credit cards, and cash transactions monthly
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support the annual audit and review process
- Ad hoc support for the Finance team, including bank visits, cash management in stores, file management, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Accounting experience of 0-2 years
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle/NetSuite, and related ERP systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Team player with a hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves approach
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with demonstrated ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with vendors/customers and employees at all levels
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
