N.A.P.S. is a ministry of Gallatin First United Methodist Church. N.A.P.S. Childcare Program has been serving our community for over 40 years. Our program is DHS licensed for 140 students and enrolls students ages 6 weeks – 5th grade. At N.A.P.S. we provide a safe and loving environment for our students to grow and learn.
We are looking for a self-motivated team player who is enthusiastic about working with kids.
You must provide a copy of your high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check, pass a physical, and be willing to complete 16 hours of training. Further education and early childhood experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care
- Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
- Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment to encourage the children's growth and development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom or daycare setting
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for the children
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment
- Continuously assess and evaluate the children's development and adjust activities as needed to support their individual needs
- Utilize your knowledge of early childhood education to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Demonstrate patience, understanding, and empathy when interacting with children
In this role as an Early Childcare Teacher, you will play a crucial part in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include supervising children, planning activities, maintaining a safe and clean space, communicating with parents, and collaborating with colleagues to support the children's development. Your experience with childcare, classroom management, and early childhood education will be essential in carrying out these responsibilities effectively.
