Job Description
WTOV is looking for a Weekend Meteorologist to anchor the weather for our weekend newscasts and do team weather for our 4 hour weekday morning show.
Our Weekend Meteorologist will fill in for our weekday meteorologists and be host\produce weather related content from our digital studio for all digital platforms.Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewersIssue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather eventsUtilize social media during severe weather, as well as write weather storiesMake public appearances on behalf of the stationHost \produce weather related digital content from our digital studioWork with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations
What skills do you need to be successful in our role?
Ability to tell memorable and meaningful stories, we value visual and compelling storytellingAbility to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shotsIn Depth Knowledge of forecastingAbility to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasksBachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
