What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Mainframe Architect position at N Consulting Ltd?
Job Description:
- Provide Application Optimization support for the applications developed using IBM Mainframe Technology stack- JCL,COBOL,DB2,CICS, VSAM and IDMS.
- Deep understanding of mainframe architecture and modernization techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for IBM mainframe.
- Expertise in system analysis, reverse engineering, and solution design for mainframe technology.
- Ability to assess and select suitable technology solutions.
- Develop comprehensive architectural models and technical specifications.
- Analyze mainframe system level operations and suggest performance improvements.
- Analyze performance and system reports to provide improvement ideas.
- Minimun 12 -15 years in Mainframe environments focusing on platform consulting, modernization or similar roles.
- Proven experience with IBM ADDI or similar reverse engineering tools.
- Verify build and deployment process and suggest improvement enforcing coding standards.
- Familiarity with IWS (IBM Workload Scheduler) and experience in reporting tool implementation.
- Experience with IDMS migrations, SCM tool transitions
- Very good knowledge of tools like Omegamon, TWS
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Should be good in proposal making and presenting to customer.
- Supporting sales and marketing initiatives.
- Strong management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives consistently.
- Coordinate with Application Development/Support Team as required
- Coordinate with Infrastructure Support Team if needed
- Should be well aware of emerging trends in mainframe technology and modernization practices
- French language proficiency is must.
Salary : $300 - $350
