What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sue Chef position at N to Tail?
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory control, and daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team, ensuring high performance and accountability
- Maintain quality control for all dishes leaving the kitchen, ensuring taste, presentation, and consistency
- Oversee food preparation, portioning, and cooking to ensure efficient workflow
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and reduce food waste through effective inventory rotation
- Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience are bonus point

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
