Job Overview:
This position is responsible for supervising warehouse associates at a specific manufacturing location. Warehouse Supervisors possess an advanced knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures to provide direction to associates. Warehouse Supervisors collaborate with management on warehouse operation solutions and are responsible for implementing department specific initiatives at their assigned manufacturing location. Warehouse Supervisors work primarily within warehouse support but may also work with other departments, such as account services and manufacturing. Warehouse Supervisors are required to provide training and maintain performance feedback for direct reports in Wasserstrom’s performance management software, Clear Review. Warehouse Supervisors are required to complete other supervisory tasks as needed, such as but not limited to, performance reviews, expense report processing, timecards, and time-off request processing. Warehouse Supervisors may perform other tasks as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
People Management
- Supervise warehouse associates at a specific manufacturing location
- Provide direction to associates on assigned tasks and procedures
- Provide training and performance feedback
- Conduct associate check-ins, responsible for achievement of goals and objectives
- Complete other supervisory tasks as needed
Process Management
- Manage warehouse processes and procedures
- Review daily work schedules; prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure needed items meet shipping schedules
- Review daily inventory of finished goods; minimize handling and damage to products
- Communicate special truck loading configuration or customer delivery requirements
- Respond to and resolve warehouse operation issues
- Collaborate with management and implement department initiatives
- Perform other tasks to support warehouse operations as needed
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Experience: 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training
- Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree
Other Skills and Abilities
- Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management and order entry systems, such as SyteLine
- Advanced knowledge of proper warehouse processes and procedures
- Ability to use inventory systems and technology, such as radio scanners
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Advanced communication skills; speaks and writes thoughtfully; demonstrates active listening
- Advanced interpersonal skills; effectively resolves conflicts; demonstrates empathy; maintains confidentiality
