Assistant Chief Nursing Officer – Behavioral Health
Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to join a 60-bed Behavioral Health Hospital providing inpatient stabilization for adults and adolescents. This role plays a key part in strategic planning, policy development, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating policies, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership, physicians, and nursing staff to enhance patient care and hospital operations.
- Lead and support nursing teams, including managers, supervisors, and mental health techs.
- Optimize ER throughput and behavioral health patient transfers.
- Drive staff development and foster a culture of excellence in behavioral health care.
Qualifications:
- RN license (unrestricted)
- Master’s in Nursing or related field preferred (or proof of enrollment)
- 5 years of leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations and ER-to-BH patient transfers
