Position Title: Assistant CNO – Behavioral Health
Position Type: Full-Time – Days – No Weekends
Position Description:
This is a 60-bed facility providing inpatient stabilization treatment to patients with acute psychiatric symptoms that cannot be addressed on an outpatient basis. Common disorders treated include major depressive disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, impulse control disorder, and a variety of co-morbid personality disorders. The patient population includes both adults and adolescents.
The facility offers 24-hour availability of a full range of services, including rapid lifesaving interventions. Physicians are available 24/7 to modify treatment plans as needed. The team includes skilled nursing care to implement treatment plans, monitor patient conditions, and assess responses to treatment.
Job Summary and Qualifications:
The role of the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) assists the CNO in executive-level management of resources, strategic planning, and the development of policies and procedures that align with the organization's mission and vision. The ACNO has operational and functional responsibility for patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives. This role is designed to prepare individuals for future CNO opportunities.
What you will do in this role:
- Collaborate with the CNO to formulate policies and procedures consistent with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure continuous performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, fostering open communication and joint problem-solving activities.
- Manage costs effectively by identifying and eliminating non-value-added expenses.
- Assume primary responsibility for assigned projects or task groups, providing regular updates on progress.
- Participate in planning activities for the renovation or construction of patient care areas.
- Collaborate with nursing educators to address the learning needs of nursing staff and ensure proper orientation for new team members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to set goals and improve patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Master's degree in Nursing or another appropriate postgraduate health science degree required or proof of enrollment with a written plan to complete the degree.
- 5 years of management and supervisory nursing experience, with at least 3 of the last 5 years in a leadership role in a hospital or direct patient care environment.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license required.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Bonus Potential: 15%-22.5%

Salary : $109,000 - $142,000
