Senior Logistics SME

Overview

Nakupuna Federal is looking for a Senior Logistics SME to advise NAVSEA on the establishment of a new sustainment organization. This individual will have deep experience in maritime sustainment to advise senior NAVSEA leaders on a concept of operations. This individual will advise and communicate across sustainment groups within NAVSEA.

Responsibilities

• Advise on sustainment/logistics best practices to enable alignment of sustainment policies, processes, and procedures across the Enterprise.
• Collaborate to develop a sustainment framework that can be scaled across PEOs
• Develop key metrics and KPIs that will measure the effectiveness of the organization
• Help establish alignment across enterprise of Product Support Managers
• Interface consistently with government leadership team to align efforts and resources, resolve issues, and provide advice/recommendations.
• Assist in the planning, identification, development, implementation, integration, and monitoring of ILS processes and strategies across the enterprise
• Coordinate across consulting team to ensure alignment of key workstreams
• Provide subject matter expertise on sustainment challenges
• Identify communication lines across various stakeholders

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possesses expertise and experience in DoD weapon system life cycle management. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of sustainment within the NAVSEA enterprise (PEO/PMS level)
• Demonstrated understanding of DoD program office acquisition/sustainment support.
• Experience communicating with senior level personnel is required

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain or managerial discipline required.
• Relevant experience performing managerial work in support of a DoD acquisition program.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in integrated logistics support.

Location: Washington, District of Columbia (remote work will be considered if willing to travel 60-70%)

Clearance Requirements: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government-issued CAC and possess a Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000.00 to $190,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
