What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marina Dockmaster position at Nabbs Creek Marina?
Seeking an individual for a Marina Dockmaster position in the Glen Burnie area. A successful candidate should possess strong skills in customer relations, maintenance and marina/property management experience, excellent organizational qualities, outstanding people skills and the ability to work efficiently without supervision. This position will involve all areas of customer relations, slip leases and reservations, basic maintenance, assist in the day-to-day marina operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a hydraulic forklift or hoist as needed
- Assist with check-in procedures of boats at marina
- Assists Maritime Operations Manager as needed with projects
- Perform general maintenance at facility, including small repairs, yard maintenance and dock maintenance
- Safe operation of company vehicles, forklifts and equipment, including trailer handling
- Set Appointments for boat storage, repair, launching
- Contract Renewal and Contract Management
- Other general or assigned duties which occur from time to time.

Job Requirements
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Good mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and upkeep
- Strong boating background preferred
- Prior experience with docks and/or marina management and maintenance is a plus
- Experience with marinas a plus but will train the right person
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills (oral and written)
- Must be available weekends and holidays in season, and on call in emergencies.
