POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping/Receiving Clerks handle tasks related to the movement of goods in and out of a business. They are critical to the supply chain and must ensure that all logistics procedures are followed to the letter. Shipping/Receiving clerks are responsible for all shipping and receiving related activities. Resolving discrepancies between incoming supplier shipping documents and actual order and all outgoing shipping documents and actual orders. Shipping all Top Assembly units, coordinating all freight shipment traffic, preparing, and controlling all required import/export documentation. Additional duties include storing, picking, operating the forklift as necessary, and participating in special projects or tasks as assigned

RESPONSIBILITY #1: Domestic Shipping, International Import and Export Shipping
- Prepare product for shipping according to company standards and customer needs.
- Process all outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and
- coordination of shipping via delivery services suppliers. (BOEING, UPS, FEDEX, DHL, Etc.)
- Audit each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order.
- Prepare documentation according to customer and government (U.S. Dept. of Transportation, Bureau of
- Industry & Security, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, and Dept. of Census divisions of Homeland
- Security) requirements. As well as the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) regulations.
- Tracking shipments to and from destination; report to external or internal customer, resolve any issues
- with customs or shipping documentation that prevents timely shipment.
- Monitor and respond to regulation updates to remain current with regulations to ensure compliance.
- Record shipping information including shipping volume, tracking numbers and so on. Then enters data
- into NTA systems.
- Maintaining shipping supplies inventory levels.
RESPONSIBILITY #2: Traffic Coordination
- Load and unload delivery trucks, either by hand or using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand
- trucks etc.
- Prepare all shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with appropriate carriers for pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transport of
- goods
RESPONSIBILITY #3: Receiving Tasks
- Process all inbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, unpacking, and
- physically receiving all product.
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality, comparing invoice and order reports to
- actual received goods.
- Receive said product into NTA MRP system. Assign system generated lot numbers to incoming product.
- Record data, such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or
- recordkeeping purposes.
- Process returned goods, documenting damages, and discrepancies
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages,
- shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
RESPONSIBILITY #4: Team Participation
- Manage inventory related to packaging and maintaining clean and orderly warehouse
- Assist in other tasks and activities assigned by department manager
- Maintain positive work relationships with peers and management

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- High School Degree or equivalent
PREFERED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
- 1-2 years shipping and receiving experience
- 1 year experience with import/export shipping process
- - Good understanding of shipment or delivery processes
- - Experience with inventory management software
- - Computer skills to use various software programs for tracking inventory, generating reports, and
- processing shipments.
- Hold a forklift certification or Satisfactorily pass NTA evaluation
- Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing (Kanban principles, 5S, etc.)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in data entry.
- Organization skills to manage and track incoming and outgoing inventory efficiently.
- Physical stamina to move and lift heavy items as part of the receiving and shipping process.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in inventory, shipping details and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers, freight companies and internal departments.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure that shipments are sent and received on time.
- Problem-solving skills to handle any issues that may arise with shipping or receiving, including delayed shipments, lost packages, or damaged items.
- Customer service skills to handle any inquiries or complaints from customers regarding shipments.
- Basic math skills for calculating freight costs, weights, and other relevant shipping data.
