Sleep Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sleep Technician to join our team in a clinical setting focused on sleep medicine. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in conducting sleep studies and assisting patients in understanding their sleep disorders. This position requires a strong foundation in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, with an emphasis on providing high-quality patient care.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive sleep studies by monitoring patients during overnight assessments.
• Perform physical examinations and record vital signs to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to interpret diagnostic evaluations related to sleep disorders.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans based on study results.
• Maintain accurate records of patient data and ensure compliance with medical protocols.
• Educate patients about sleep hygiene and the importance of healthy sleep patterns.
• Stay updated on advancements in sleep medicine and participate in ongoing training as required.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to sleep medicine.
• Experience or familiarity with respiratory therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform physical examinations and monitor vital signs accurately.
• Previous experience in a sleep center or related clinical environment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends as needed for patient care.

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $28.00 - $33.49 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
