BetterNight is a professional medical service and supply company, focused on sleep & sleep therapy. We focus on the diagnosis of sleep apnea through home sleep study and treatment using CPAP therapy or oral appliance therapy.
BetterNight's headquarters are in San Diego, CA. The preferred candidate would be located / work in Pacific Standard or Mountain Standard time. In office work may occasionally be required.
SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the books and records of multiple legal entities and related consolidations. This highly visible position interacts with multiple stakeholders within the organization. The Staff Accountant partners with the Finance Manager and Controller to improve and streamline financial and accounting operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Records daily bank transactions including ensuring invoices for ACH payments have been uploaded
- Records credit card transactions along with receipt upload to QuickBooks
- Assists with Brightree close and related reports
- Processes check stop payments
- The Staff Accountant will implement new monthly close procedures as needed and perform monthly closes on a regular basis
- Responsible for assisting in preparation for the company’s financial audits
- Prepares lead schedules & roll-forwards
- Prepares weekly cashflow forecast
- Prepares and makes journal entries
- Reconciles all GL accounts
- Reconciles bank and credit card accounts
- Coordinates the completion of all monthly close checklist items
- Prepares schedules for ad hoc analyses
- Prepares amortization schedules
- Maintains accounting department electronic files
- Performs payables entries
- Other duties as assigned
- Acts as the back-up for AP position
