The RoleWe’re seeking an International Student Recruitment Specialistto identify, recruit, and enroll talented international students who will excel at Sora Schools. In this role, you will combine your passion for international education and global engagement to connect with students, families, and international education leaders to showcase how Sora Schools can help international students access an American school experience without leaving home. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of international education, build relationships within the global education community, and play a pivotal role in growing Sora’s international enrollment.
Salary This is a full time, 3 month contract role with a possibility to extend or convert to an employee, depending on organizational needs. The compensation for this position will be $5,450/mo.
LocationThis is a fully remote role with some travel required.

What You’ll Do
- Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to attract international students to Sora Schools. Identify key regions, international education fairs, and organizations where exceptional students seek flexible learning options. Track and manage a pipeline of prospective students and families.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with international students, their families, educational consultants, and organizations such as international schools, education fairs, and cultural exchange programs. Act as the primary ambassador for Sora Schools within the international education community.
- Outreach and Engagement: Attend international education fairs, showcases, and events to connect with prospective students and families. Host virtual and in-person information sessions highlighting Sora Schools' flexible and customized approach to education for international students. Collaborate with marketing to create tailored messaging and materials to appeal to the international education community.
- Family Guidance and Enrollment: Serve as a trusted resource to families navigating the balance between academics and personal growth. Communicate Sora’s value proposition clearly and passionately, guiding families through the enrollment process.
- Partnership Development: Identify and pursue partnerships with international schools, education agencies, and industry leaders to position Sora Schools as the premier online education provider for international students.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on trends in international education, such as college recruitment, student mobility, and global education demands. Provide feedback to the Sora Schools team to continuously refine programs for international students.
- Passionate About International Education: You deeply love education and believe that students worldwide deserve flexible, high-quality education options.
- Connected in the International Education World: Experience or connections in the international education space (e.g., international schools, education fairs, global student recruitment) are a major plus.
- A Relationship Builder: You thrive on connecting with people, building trust, and guiding families through big decisions.
- An Effective Communicator: You can clearly articulate Sora’s mission, values, and programs to families, coaches, and organizations.
- Organized and Strategic: You can manage multiple relationships, events, and initiatives while considering the big picture.
- A Self-Starter: You’re proactive, driven, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Additional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, international relations, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Previous experience in recruitment, admissions, and/or the international education world.Strong knowledge of the international education ecosystem, including organizations, events, and schools. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to travel and attend events as needed.
