Lipscomb University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Regional Director of Admission for Texas and surrounding areas. The position will be responsible for recruitment of a regional territory which includes Texas and surrounding areas.
- This position is based in Texas, in the DFW area, which would require the establishment of a home office*
- As a member of the Admission team, the Regional Director will formulate and implement recruitment plans to enroll qualified students, build external relationships with important constituents (alumni, school officials, etc.), and collaborate with the senior leadership team in establishing short and long-term objectives for the assigned territory and the department.
- Ability to follow the statement of the “Code of Ethics and Professional Practices” for admission as stated by the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
- Assist and/or coordinate special events in the recruitment territory; Must have valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and be willing to travel by air and/or vehicle to oversee recruitment activities in designated territory.
- Ability to project a strong, positive image of the university when visiting high schools, attending college fairs, speaking at high school parent programs, and meeting in both small and large group settings.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills and ability to establish a rapport with diverse groups of constituents such as prospective students, high school counselors, parents, Lipscomb alumni, staff, faculty, and administration.
- Ability to maintain broad knowledge base of information about the university and its organization, purposes, and mission.
- Ability to maintain sufficient knowledge of all scholarship and financial aid programs and application procedures in order to explain and assist applicants and parents through the process.
