The Clinical Assistant position is full-time and requires the individual to work on-site as this is not a remote job opportunity. Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports all facets of the dental practice including maintaining dental equipment.
- Performs single laboratory procedures such as polishing dentures, constructing crowns, building custom trays, and executing minor denture repairs.
- Provides customer service support to patients by escorting them to and from treatment rooms and preparing them for care.
- Cleans and sets up treatment rooms for scheduled dental procedures, ensuring that all tools and materials are available and in their proper place.
- Records treatment information in patient charts.
- Helps at chairside when needed.
- Manages general office cleaning tasks.
- Assists with front desk duties when needed.
- Ensures compliance with relevant health and safety regulations including OSHA standards.
Requirements
- Valid X-ray certificate or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
- Current CPR & first aid certificates or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations.
- Strong ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients.
- Effective prioritization and organization skills, with the capability to complete tasks independently in a timely manner.
- Openness and responsiveness to constructive feedback.
- Strong comprehension skills for understanding and following both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Competence in data collection, establishing factual data, drawing valid conclusions, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring thoughts and ideas are understood across all levels of the organization.
