Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. Expo plays a crucial role in ensuring that dishes are delivered to guests quickly and accurately, acting as a key link between the kitchen and dining area. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an eye for presentation, we want to hear from you!
The ideal candidate has open availability Monday-Tuesday from 10AM-2PM, and Wednesday-Friday from 10AM-4PM. Weekly hours may vary but typically average between 20-24 hours per week.
The hourly wage is starting at $16 per hour plus gratuities at month end.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Front of House Manager, this position’s responsibilities include:
- Set up and tear down of the expo station each shift.
- Coordinate the flow of orders between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ensure that food is prepared and plated correctly before being served.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, front of house, and management to meet guest expectations.
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely, organized, and safe manner.
- Monitor ticket times to maintain smooth service flow.
- Address any order discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expediting area.
- Assist front of house with table management and other duties during peak hours, as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-paced food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Food Safety and ProServe certifications are an asset.
- Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing great service.
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays or plates safely.
