What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Lead Guide Primary Level position at Namaste Montessori School?
Namaste Montessori School is seeking a Lead Montessori Primary Guide to teach in an established primary classroom. A Montessori Credential from a MACTE accredited training program or current enrollment in such a program is preferred.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading an established mixed-age Montessori classroom of up to 18 children ages 3 to 6 years. You will be working in a beautiful, well-equipped Montessori classroom, supported by two trained and experienced assistant teachers. The classroom is located in a renovated turn-of-the-century building. The outdoor space includes gardens, wooded areas, a pond, and open fields where the children play, explore, and learn.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate's Degree would also be considered
- Montessori diploma for the appropriate age group or working toward certification
- Experience working with children
- Passion for the Montessori philosophy and excellence in communicating this philosophy to parents and the community
- Genuine warmth and love for guiding children and their families
- A benevolent outlook towards solving problems and advocating for our educational viewpoint (at Namaste Montessori, we call this growth mindset “focusing on the solution, not on the problem”)
- Willingness to work and contribute as a member of a team
