Role Purpose
You will spearhead strategic initiatives to drive business growth and enhance market presence within the Aerospace & Defense sectors. This role involves identifying strategic opportunities and creating tailored business development strategies that align with the organization’s objectives. You will build and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met through effective communication and customized solutions. Additionally, you will manage proposals and contract negotiations and monitor performance metrics while achieving revenue targets.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
- Identify and qualify high-value business opportunities and partnerships that align with organizational objectives.
- Engage with clients in the Aerospace & Defense sectors to present tailored, strategic solutions that address their specific needs and challenges.
- Lead the development of proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Drive the regular achievement of revenue goals through strategic planning, innovative thinking, and strong leadership.
- Work with governmental organizations on identifying the right opportunities and preparing the proposals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for client engagement at the executive level.
- Prepare and present strategic reports to executive management, conveying market insights, developments, and recommendations for action.
- Oversee project delivery to ensure alignment with client expectations and timelines while effectively managing resources; collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to effectively align business strategies.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to assess progress towards business objectives and refine strategies as necessary.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- At least 10-15 years of experience in business development and program management within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
- Work experience in major Aerospace & Defense OEM(s).
- Proven track record in winning and executing major Aerospace & Defense contracts.
- Extensive experience in regulated industries, including standardization, export compliance and complex proposal preparation (e.g., TINA-compliant proposals).
- Experience with manufacturing processes and certification requirements for military components.
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing is a significant advantage.
