Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including residential, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patients' health by observing their physical and emotional well-being.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Provide medication reminders as per care plans and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness in residents' living areas and common spaces to promote a safe environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
Skills
- Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience in patient monitoring, particularly in nursing homes or assisted living environments.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Proficient in cooking nutritious meals that meet dietary needs.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role
- First aid and CPR certified ***Can be obtained through our agency***
- Must have a negative TB Skin test
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
