What are the responsibilities and job description for the NANA Shareholder College Summer Intern - Finance/Accounting position at NANA?
Assist Accounting department with day-to-day functions supporting Akima, LLC and the 28 operating companies. Candidate will gain exposure to accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and cash application. Furthermore, the candidate will work alongside members of Akima, LLC's Corporate Accounting team to learn financial reporting, internal controls, and process implementation. The candidate will rotate throughout the department and have an opportunity to work with various managers.

Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable - full cycle accounts payable including expense reporting in Deltek T&E
- Corporate Project Accounting - job setup, billing, and month end close.
- General Ledger - reconciliation of general ledger accounts including bank reconciliations
- Financial Management - project reporting, accruals, budgeting
- Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in "NANA Regional Corporation, Inc."
- Or a direct descendant of a NANA Shareholder
- College student majoring in Accounting or Finance
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel
- Must be outgoing and present a professional appearance
- Must be a US citizen
- Previous business work experience preferred
- Compensation: depending on class level or experience
