910 Media Group and NanBop Farm is seeking a passionate and experienced Event Director who is looking to elevate their career and foster a connection with residents of Northern Michigan and beyond. This role is based in Traverse City, Michigan but will spend significant time at NanBop Farm located in Cadillac, Michigan.

You’re good at:
- Advising senior leadership and peer groups regarding event strategy, objectives, and program goals, making recommendations to achieve maximum impact for our business.
- Lead event creation and cooperative efforts to set the event expectations.
- Participating in the selection of external vendors, negotiating contracts to fulfill project and business needs, while optimizing budget and performing vendor management and expectation-setting responsibilities.
- Creative problem solving; Applying experience, critical thinking, and consultation to drive solutions and results.
- Working under high pressure situations and promoting positivity and focus on solutions.
- Contributing events-related content to our Social Media platforms across all mediums, working closely with our digital services agency.
- Managing the guest experience from the venue user's perspective by establishing, inspiring, and maintaining the NanBop Farm guest experience as a core component of the organization's strategic priorities and daily operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have 3 years’ experience as the lead events (weddings) manager/planner for rapid-growth and/or startups, or equivalent in a dedicated event planning and management experience.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or equivalent certification desired, but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage planning and execution of small, medium, and large-scale events
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional partners during the event planning process
- High degree of knowledge in tracking and compiling events metrics to ensure accurate reporting, and leading event debriefs with all stakeholder to provide summary reports.
