What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nanny position at Nanny LLC?
This is a long-term nanny position for a family with two children. The mother is a stay-at-home mom and plans to homeschool the children in the future. The nanny will be responsible for the care of both children, and the mother may be present in the house tidying up or running errands. Therefore, the nanny should be comfortable with the mother being around during working hours.
The family is looking for a proactive nanny who can take initiative and adapt quickly. Their previous nannies traveled with them to Europe, so they would appreciate a nanny who is open to similar opportunities. During the children’s nap times, the nanny will be expected to assist with tasks such as cleaning bottles, doing the children’s laundry, and washing dishes.
Reliability, maturity, and dependability are essential qualities for this role. While there are no specific pet care duties, the nanny may occasionally need to let the family’s very sweet dogs into the backyard. The family lives in the secure and family-friendly neighborhood, which has a playground nearby for outdoor activities.
Additionally, the home has a fenced pool in the backyard, so the nanny must be a confident swimmer.
Schedule is Monday- Friday 9am-1 pm OR 2pm - 6pm (Open to mixing up and doing some mornings and some afternoons)
Guaranteed 20h/week for pay.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, including playtime and educational games.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary restrictions when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up play areas and assisting with household chores as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
We require or team members to have a valid drivers license as well as vehicle they can take to and from work, be 18yo and have graduated high school, a CPR/First Aid certification, be able to pass a background check, have 3 or more years of childcare experience and be able to provide references.
