Consumable and Reagent Manufacturing Floor Manager

NanoMosaic Inc., located in Waltham, Massachusetts, is focused on developing innovative photonics technology for biomedical discovery, Dx, CDx, and drug development. Our cutting-edge technology will enable new frontiers of medical research for ultrahigh-sensitivity detection of single molecules in low volume liquid biopsy samples. 

We are looking for a Consumable and Reagent Manufacturing Floor Manager to oversee daily manufacturing and supply chain operations from raw materials to finished goods while ensuring compliance to all regulatory and quality all procedures are followed, and materials are delivered on-time.   This candidate will be responsible for the interactive planning and management of a multi-faceted production team.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, direct and run multiple manufacturing lines.
• Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery of finished goods to stock.
• Allocate and effectively utilize resources to drive delivery with minimal scrap.
• Follow all safety and maintenance procedures.
• Manage formulation and filling of reagents.
• Daily line clearance of consumable and reagent lines.
• Record process results on travelers   
• Collect all process data and report / file to appropriate locations daily. Identify production issues. 
• Work with cross functional teams to determine solutions.
• Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools and power tools.
• Install electrical, mechanical, electronic parts and hardware in assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings, and technical orders to supporting process work instructions. 
• Supervise and train new employees along with creating work instructions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements/qualifications:

• 5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing setting leading a team of at least 5 technicians.
• High School Diploma or GED.  Bachelors or Associates in related field preferred.
• Machine shop and additive manufacturing experience a plus.
• Chemical handling experience
• Working knowledge of photochemical processes
• Ability to navigate typical manufacturing guidelines in ISO13485, ISO9001, and associated FDA CFR 820Ability to work in a fast-paced production KPI driven, regulated, environment.
• Must be willing to wear required personal protective equipment as required.
• Must excel as a leader and self-starter in a team-based environment.
• Close attention to detail required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer as well as standing and moving between production stations to assist technicians and manage product flow as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
