NanOptima is recruiting for a Principal Scientist / Associate Principal Scientist to join its highly driven and growing team based at Alderley Park, Cheshire. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the design and development of revolutionary treatments that will improve the standard of care in retinal diseases.

Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD (or Graduate qualification with equivalent experience) in Pharmaceutical or Material Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
About the Role
As part of our multi-disciplinary R&D team, you will have a leading role in the day-to-day operational and technical delivery of our R&D programme. You will be lab-based and contribute to the design, characterization, and development of hydrogel drug delivery depots for the temporal delivery of ophthalmic therapeutics to meet NanOptima’s objective of improving the treatment of retinal diseases. Other responsibilities include working with and overseeing outsourced technical activities being delivered by CROs and partners selected by NanOptima.
