Description
The Security Manager will play an important role ensuring the continuity of this work by being responsible for the security of all Nanotronics employees, facilities and equipment. As a front-line employee, it’s extremely important that the Security Manager maintains exceptional customer experience, while ensuring that Nanotronics’ intellectual property and staff are protected. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who works well within a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and enforce all established security protocols for the safety of building 20
- Control the access to the building (visitor, vendors, customer, etc)
- Work closely with Executive Assistant and Human Resources
- Be available for Executive (C-Suite) team
- Liaise with local law enforcement, Navy Yard security/staff, neighboring businesses
- Maintain ITAR documentation and facilitate sensitive material security
- Register, greet and welcome guests, customers, investors and employment candidates
- Issue visitor passes for access to Navy Yard
- Issue Non-Disclosure Agreements to visitors (upon staff request)
- Assist with opening all workspaces at beginning of each day and securing at end
- Distribute safety updates and reminders, as needed
- Perform and prepare workplace incident investigations
- Implement Emergency Action Plan, if necessary
- Perform duties as Fire Guard
- Assist with facilities, ordering, deliveries, and general administration

Education and Experience
- 20 years’ experience in law enforcement and/or security (public and/or private)
- 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Licensed security professional
Certifications and Trainings:
- CPR/First Aid (basics)
- Dignitary Training (Executive Protection)
- Disorder control (large/small crowd)
- Non-lethal defense training
- Firearms training
- NYS Armed Security Guard License
- Concealed carry permit
- HR 218 (Federal Concealed Carry Permit
- NYC Fire Guard License
- Criminal investigators course
