Overview
The Production Planning Control Manager will lead the planning and scheduling activities for production in the Casting and Extrusion departments. Perform production control activities to ensure seamless manufacturing operations of the Packing and Shipping Departments. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ensures day-to-day operations of manufacturing business run smoothly.
Responsibilities
Review and implement production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts to meet customer requirements.
- Monthly capacity planning and reporting
- Communicate with various departments regarding production schedules and deadlines to ensure production needs are met.
- Oversee operations team, acting as liaison to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor production progress to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Supervise and lead direct reports, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present production reports.
- Implement and oversee projects aimed at optimizing production processes.
- Provides backup support to Director of Operations during absence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Production Manufacturing, or related field or combination of work experience and education
- Requires 5 years of experience in production planning, control or supply chain management in the aluminum extrusion industry or similar role.
- Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing principles.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to analyze and manage production metrics.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
