Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks (English Language Arts and Literacy) Bachelors DegreeDESE MA certification or the ability to be certified in English (5-12) Ideal Candidate: Experience in high school English language arts and literacy teaching Passion for teaching English language arts and literacy Strong English language arts and literacy content knowledge Strong knowledge of the ELA portrait of students capacities Knowledge of High School pedagogy and the developmental needs of students Ability to assess learning using a variety of methods Strong foundation in student-centered and culturally responsive pedagogy Knowledge of differentiated instruction and response to intervention Excellent classroom management skills SEI Endorsement Ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators Willingness to support after school activities
